Calico Amazon Breeding!!!

Calico Amazon Breeding!!!

Postby Charles » Thu Mar 17, 2011 5:02 am

I am proud to report the first copulation at the Red Canopy this year!  I introduced my Female Calico with my Red and White male Calico and had great results.
Courting commenced immediately upon introduction and within a couple hours the male had the female wrapped up good and tight for about 3 hours! ;D
I couldn't get photos of the copulation due to their tails hanging behind the pothos.
I did get a pic of the courtship through the glass, not a great pic but you can see the males tail holding on to the female using his spurs oh so gently!  ;)

I'm sure I'll get another chance to snap some pics of them copulating but here are some new pics of both Amazons and the courting photo.
Enjoy!!!

Awesome!!! Need some of those babies.
Those who have made no mistakes have learned nothing and can teach nothing.
The same is true of those who continue to make the same mistakes.

Wicked colours. I have not seen those before. Lets see what babies they produce.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
