Stupid should hurt and I admittedly derive great sadistic pleasure when it does. The problem is that wankers like this in that photo will catalyse the doom of our hobby to the detriment of other responsible keepers. This is when name and shame becomes a necessity, somebody needs to go give this idiot the snot klap his parents should've dished out way back when the thinking first stopped, and take his snakes away from him.

Dude! That puffy pic is not cool! Most guys will agree that you never...EVER! barehand a puffy or any viper like that! Ok, so it's easy to tail say a cobra in an a desperate situation, but a puff adder's strike is so unbelievably quick! I have never touched a puff adder before (not a live one anyway) and I dont plan to! That is flippen stupid and that guy deserves to get bitten, no matter how much experience he has or how ''tame'' he thinks the snake is!

I would tail a large puffie before a cobra for the record, but that pic has little to do with tailing and everything to do with doff.

I see. For me I'd rather tail a cobra than a puffie. But I'd rather tail nothing actually... If you asked me if I'd rather handle a puffie or cobra with a hookstick or two then definitely puffie, but the problem with handeling a puffie with your hands is if it decides to bite it is too fast for you to react!
