Brown house snake and bat..

Hi All,

Seems like the first snakes are emerging in and around our town called Fochville.. Looking forward to the call outs this season!!!

A friend sent me this pic this morning. They found the little brown house snake busy constricting a bat. They left the little fella, and bagged him after he finished its meal, and released it on a farm. I hope it kept its meal in...



Wish there were more people like this... these people don't know anything about snakes, but still release it unharmed.

Ha ha, that's a really nice sighting. I watched a show the other day with Boa's eating bats in a cave but they of course hang from the roof very cool!

I wonder how he managed to catch the bat. Possibly waited at the entrance hole where they fly out?

I once saw the same thing in our roof, went up to check on the geezer when I found a Olive house snake chowing on a bat. I suppose the bat was hanging on the roof rafters and the olive went up and had some dinner but in the struggle fell down and was then laying on the floor.

Wow, that's really cool I've heard of them eating bats but that's the first photographic evidence I've seen.
