Uroplectes carinatus basic keeping info!?

Uroplectes carinatus basic keeping info!?

Postby shadowfoot » Thu Oct 06, 2011 6:45 pm

Hi
I was just wondering if someone has the general info on caring for this scorp? I received one the other day from a friend, but I dont know the specific temp and humidity info. At the moment I have a few scorpions and was wondering if the care would be the same as for Parabuthus transvaalicus? I'm keeping it in a deli cup at the moment and it is taking the crickets I'm giving it, so does that mean the temp and humidity is fine?

Regards

hy.

is your scorpion adult?
adult you can keep Uroplectes carinatus at 30-32 degrees. pregnant female you can keep local with 34 degrees. The humidity should be 50%.
when he is not adult i wold hold at 30 degrees.

Use rocks for decorations, they enjoy hard surfaces :)

Thanks mailjvdb, i have a nice rock inside his deli cup. He sits at the entrance of the hole and catches anything that comes near him.
