I have a 3 year old Ball Python, and soon I am going to Stellenbosch to study, currently living in Gauteng in Johannesburg, will I be able to take the snake? Or else what steps will have to be followed?

Get a transport permit to your new adres. You must then apply for a keeping permit. Holding thumbs for the move.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

You will need a import permit (To import into the western cape) and an export permit (To export it from gauteng). You will have to contact cape nature for your import permit and Gautengs nature conservation for your export permit.
