New to the world

New to the world

Postby vuduman » Thu Mar 01, 2012 1:01 pm

After 56 days I decided to cut the remaining Bredl's python(Morelia bredli) eggs.
There was 26 eggs to start with. The majority was infertile,2 good ones ruptured and rotted and I had a broken hygrometer,So eventually I managed to nurse the last 7 eggs to health.
Apart from that ,we had about 10 powercuts that lasted through the night that also played it's part and there was a time that I really didn't think anything good will come from the eggs.
Non the less,to my surprize .there are 7 good babies thats sitting in the eggs ,almost ready for the world.
The worst looking egg looks to have quite a special little dotted one peaking.

Just a reminder how good looking the parents are :)

Very nicely done.

Well done for nursing the last eggs until the hatching time.
The parents are absolutely stunning.

Thanks guys.Sorry about the poor quality of the pictures. My wideangle lens decided it is time to give up,so had to resort to a zoomlens :(
I will take a few photos with my "mik and druk" at a later stage again.

Congratulations Vuduman! They look amazing! That "spotted" one looks to be a real stunner! Will be awesome to see it out, and after the first shed!

Thanks man.I cannot wait either :) I am running out of time here too.I am almost tempted to start cutting my remaining ,gravid, live bearers open to get the babies out.lol
Will do an update soon as I ,either get my lens fixed or find my "mik and druk" camera again :)

AAAh.Due to my lack of knowledge breeding pythons,I have killed them all!
I was not awhare of a little membrane that should be broken once the egg is cut,and they all died in the eggs today.I can cry!
Valueble lesson learned at the price of 7 healthy littly pythons :(

Ah man, that sucks, I am really sorry to hear that.
I really doubt it was something you did or did not do, I have never even thought about cutting the membrane when I cut python eggs, they should have been able to push through it themselves.
I would guess it was something out of your control, don't beat yourself up, these things happen.
