Have you put in a moist hide box / nest box? They usually will lay their eggs if they have a place to lay it, but also sometimes do even if they dont. Are you sure that it's eggs you are seeing?? Is it a bright white colour or off white colour??

iv put in a moist laying box and have kept the temp at about 30C. its been about 5 weeks since i noticed the eggs. they are a bright white colour compared to her. plus iv asked the local pet store and a post doc at varsity who works on snakes but nothing. they all say she should have layed by now. an dthis is her first time been pregnant if that has anything to do with it

How big is your female?

A Leopard Gecko should weigh at the very least 45 grams before breeding although even at this size problems could arise. I wouldn't breed a female until she weighs around 55 - 60 grams. If a female is physically not big enough for breeding the chances are that the gecko would not be able to pass the eggs and will become egg-bound and ultimately die if actions aren't taken...

Also has your gecko stopped eating and if so for how long now?

she eats every now and then. but for the most about 3 weeks now or so. but what is very strange is that she is eating the vamiculite in the egg box. and now it looks like she is reabsorbing the eggs.

She's eating the vermiculite? Are you sure it's not just impaction?

I think what Pinky meant was impaction caused by her eating the vermiculite.

Yup. That's what I meant. Maybe the lumps you're seeing is vermiculite that she can't pass. Perhaps you should take it to a vet. They would be able to tell you exaclty what's wrong with her. Much better than we would. If she is gravid and overdue, you could loose her.
