Possible dwarf

In January this year I recieved a pair of het albino brown house snakes from DK. I have since given one away to my nephew and kept the other. Earlier I read a post by Rolandsf about his dwarf rat snake and realized that my house snake may be a dwarf too. It hasnt made any noticeable progress in terms of length since I got it but the head has definitely widened like the rat snake's did. It eats a pinky or two every week and shed a few times too. I will post a pic of it this weekend when I get a chance to. Any ideas or opinions on this?

What is the length of the snake? Most snakes will take time to shed, I can't exactly remember how many times a snake shed's a year, but I'm sure if you just give it time, it will shed.

Scotty...he isnt asking if its going to shed. Snakes also dont shed at an exact rate per year.

If the snake is still under 20cm then slow growth is ok. The browns that I have bred hit a nice growth spurt at about 15-20cm when i start feeing them larger more fury food items.

What is the size of the snake? How old is it?

Its about 10 months old and it cant be longer than 20cm. Unfortunately Im not home until Friday so I will make an accurate measurement then. The snake eats a lot considering its size and has been in a heated tank its whole life. The conditions are ideal for growth but nothings happening.

Give it a little more time and see how much it grows in the next six months

To be honest the ones I have from that clutch hardly seem to have grown at all. I however prefer the concept of giant 1.5m female house snakes though. They should look like dwarf pythons!

i also got a pair from DK ht albino and they are also not growing,they eat like pigs and shed often.

They are from the same clutch. Mine seems to have grown about 5cm in a month now I have noticed that mine digests its food incredibly quickly and is ready to eat every two days so I feed it every two days. Give that a try and see what happens.
