Enclosure Layout

Enclosure Layout

Postby brentraf » Wed Feb 13, 2013 10:24 pm

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to post my upcoming project for you all to critique, this setup is 1,5 meters wide and 60 cm deep all the enclosures are 40 cm high and the other shelves will be used as racking.
No ventilation is in the layout but there will be at least 6 ventilation areas for the small enclosures and 12 for the large ones.
The large enclosures will house two Dumerils Boas and the smaller would be for an adult corn and something else, not sure what yet.
Please let me know what you think and also could someone maybe give me a bit of a hand with heating suggestions? I will run heat cable in the racking systems but not sure what to do for the enclosures?
The display will also have LED lighting solely for aesthetic purposes.

Please give me as much criticism as possible because I want the design to be perfect once I start.

Thanks,
Brent

Looks good... LED lighting is a winner
I would just use heating pads.
Also may want to think of adding a controller layer between the tanks that way each tank has an air layer to insulate it from the other tank.
You can then also put thermostats in there - all very nice and neat and you wont see any cables...
You know, you can touch a stick of dynamite, but if you touch a venomous snake it’ll turn around and bite you and kill you so fast it’s not even funny.

I Like it Brent, as Brad says, just use heating pads in the tanks.
