Some Carpets just don't like rats and it is a mission to get them to take rats. I don't know why this is, other Carpets will take rat pups and move to bigger rats as they grow without any issue.
I have a 6 year old pair, the male only started taking rats last year and the female this year and she will only take a rat if I scent it with a multi mouse but first have to give her a multi and then the scented rat.
What I find weird is the last +-40 of their babies that I hatched took rat pups from the first time I offered.
Try and get some multis and give the snakes multis first and then a rat pup. Skipping 2 or 3 feeds is also an option to get them nice and hungry.
Good luck, just keep trying, hopefully they will take rat pups soon.
