Can anyone suggest a reptile pet sitter in Jhb please? I need to find someone with reptile knowledge and references to babysit my Beardie when we go on holiday in Dec, I would like to book early since I know Xmas gets insane.

Where about in JHB are you?
There are plenty of petshops/ reptile shops that have boarding facilities and will charge you a daily rate to take care of your animals.

I am in Jhb North, I am a little reluctant to go the Petshop route. Our local mall, Fourways crossing offers this service for R20 a day but I worry about my Chomp being harassed by screaming kids tapping on her glass all day. She hates being stared at and won't eat with any onlookers. So a pet store is not ideal, I am hoping someone can suggest somebody who can pet sit from home. I don't want to needlessly stress out my girl. Is there anyone in Jhb north that offers this kind of service that would include daily handling?

Try Repzotix in Edenvale,
They keep all animals at boarding in the back.

Repzotix charges R25 a day inc all meals and calcium and keep them in a back area in a stack rack away from public viewing.
Reptile haven charges R20 a day inc all meals and calcium and keep them in their home also away from public viewing.
Just adding the info incase anyone else is looking for something similar in the future.

Personally, Repzotix is a place I'd recommend. Several of my family members and myself have used them in the past and never had a bad experience.
