Boomslang - Dispholidus t. typus

Here's a pic of a CB'13 Boomslang - Dispholidus typus typus (presumably KwaZulu Natal locality). Still gecko feeders, will try and convert them onto rodents.

Hopefully you get them onto rodents without too many hassles, maybe some gecko paste will help with scenting pinks?

Mine too exactly 24 months before they started feeding on mice by themselves. Good luck with yours.

Any pointers to breed Dispholidus? I hope to breed mine this year but it's my first time keeping booms. Any advise is wellcome

They need large cages and they need natural sunlight which stimulates them. It need not shine on them but they need to be able to see the sun when it rises and when it sets. Dont go and cook them now either. Just position them in a room where they can see East and West.

Not mutch sun in Sweden during the winter, and the temperature stays below 0 celcius for atleast a few more months so the risk of them being cooked in the sun isn't very big haha

The cage is 2400mm L* 820mm D* 1200mm H

Okay then drop in a UV light or a nice halogen light. During winter they still bask for a few hours but eat small meals if at all. The nights are fairly cold (15 degrees). The day temps can go into the high 20's. I suppose it does matter where they originate from. Do you have any idea?

I don't really know i'll speak with the guy i got them from and see what more info i can get on them.
