The larvas of beetles eat that some wood and dead leaves. He never affects the alive wood. Thus not palm trees.
The female lays its eggs in the substratum (leaves and wood rots).

Just a quick question, how long does it take for the larva to hatch from the cocoon they make?

Today I cleaned the substrate a bit and noticed a white sphere. Dug around a bit more and found a few.

I wounder if these are ova/eggs??? I cannot find any pictures on the interwebs, but I cannot guess what else they can be.

Seeing as the adults were collected in my garden anyway, I might just toss these into my compos heap. Lots of rotting material for the larvae to chow.

Those look exactly like stag beetle eggs so they must be the eggs of your beetles.
