It is in the pipeline but I don't know exactly when the new species list will be signed off. I am also waiting. We just got to be patient. :-D

Dont dis the Eastern Cape. Pretty soon you will be keeping species that the Western Cape are not allowed to keep at all. Just be patient and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I thought all exotic species were legal in SA.... Does anyone have a list of legal/illegal species per province?
Happy herping :D

This has been discussed plenty and I remember BV saying something like these official lists are like unicorns, nowhere to be found. Eastern Cape policy has been like this, "If a species isn't on permit already in the province, you can't get one." Natal, anything goes, with the exeption of TOPS. Western cape species list is similar to the EC. Gauteng, exotics are pretty much all legal, indigenous require permits. I think free state is simialr to gauteng. Not too clued up on the other provinces.
