Sadly I lost my horse Georgie's Best last year to West Nile Virus. It was a very traumatic time for me, as I loved him dearly.
I was still reeling in shock from losing him, when I got a call from a friend about a big 3 year old bay gelding that had just finished racing. He suggested I go have a look at him to see if I like him, but I was so shattered about losing George and was hardly in a state of mind to start looking for a new horse. After thinking about it for a while, I thought there could be no harm in going to have a look. Well, to cut a long story short - I took one look at him and fell in love. So two days later we loaded him on the horse box and bought him home.
Unfortunately registered thoroughbreds often get given horrible names, so he ended up getting called Lucky Lux . Needless to say, he helped me get through the loss of Georgie and he has brought me much happiness. I'm truly lucky to have Lucky
