I agree with Westley Price the babies I would keep back would be M6 and F6 for their colours and M4 and F5 for their interesting patterns.

Well, it's been about two months... Here is a group shot of the little beasties... Click the picture for a larger size...

Well, it's been a while, and most of the little watchsprings are in various stages of shedding, so I thought I'd just quickly post a pic of one of the males, and females...

Strangely, the males seem to be darkening and showing less color variation, while the females are getting lighter and showing a huge range of colors as they're sizing up.

The male.

The female.

Thanks for looking!

Interesting regarding the colours, that female is gorgeous. Do you know how many times they have shed since being born ?

Thanks Predator678, this is not the prettiest, but definitely one of the nicer ones... They have all shed once or twice so far. I don't do a weekly feeding, I do fortnightly (and less in winter as my whole room gets cooled down), and the puffs tend to grow slower for me for the first year, and then once they hit a year, they seem to suddenly get massive growth spurts.

That seems a normal growth for Bitis, my little nasicornis shed three times in his first year, on small weekly meals and a meal every two to three weeks during winter.

Been a year and a half since this post was updated... About time too...

I have had my puffs in brumation, and so far so good... Males were head dancing, and tail massaging, and twitching their way up and down the females for quite a while. I will find the videos and upload them sometime, but for now, just some pics of the adults that I hope are going to pop out some lively, lovely venomous watch-springs again...

Big Girl aka The Mother (looking rather drab at the moment)...

Mr Huffles, my adult male (also in drab attire at the moment)...

Another pair that I hope is old enough to breed this year. Hoping something nice will pop out of this pairing...

I will take some shots of the keepers from the last clutch when it warms up again for some outdoor shots... There are some doozies that I was lucky enough to keep back (puff adders change color so drastically as they age!).

I know... I still need to take some baby shots, and they are coming. Was cleaning the adults cages this last Sunday, and quickly snapped some top-down shots of the adults...

Thanks for the compliments Roland, much appreciated. Now, for them to thank me too, and give me lots of babies again...
