My BHS (Very Photo Heavy)

My BHS (Very Photo Heavy)

Good Day All

Let me start this post off with the good news. As a few of you know, I recently had to move house very suddenly, and ended up in a Duplex.
As a result all my snakes were sent to stay with a friend of mine, Tim Korb in November.
Now 3 months later, the Body Corporate of the Complex where I stay, has authorised all my snakes to be moved back to me.
This process has started, so thank You Timmo for the excellent way you looked after my snakes, they have all actually put on a bit of weight, I will have change from my 14 day feeding schedule to the 10 day one used by Tim. It was also good to have a friend like Tim, who never hesitated one bit. When I needed the help, he jumped.

Last but not least, my heavily gravid Albino female, this one should look familiar to Fooble.
She has been paired with a Green Male, according to Tim.
I do not know BHS Genetics, so I don't know if I will get Normals with whatever hets, or if I can hope for a surprise or two.

I am hoping for her to have her Pre-Lay Shed this coming weekend.
Then around 10 days to lay her eggs.
Then around 60 days or so for babies.

Great news being allowed to keep your snakes in the complex. Some complexes are so full of rubbish.

And beautiful snakes, still one of my all time favourites, think because my very first snake was a female BHS. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the babies :)

Great collection Roland.

I have always had a soft spot for Albino BHSs and your big girl is a stunner.

Very nice Housies there Roland! That gravid female looks ready to pop! Keen to see what you do from that clutch onwards.

Thank You Everyone for the positive comments.

The Albino lady shed yesterday, so I expect eggs next weekend.

Is there anyone that knows a bit about BHS Genetics, that can perhaps predict any possible outcome from the pairing as mentioned.

I think the Green trait is not really a morph, but more of a locality thing.

So if the Green one is bred to an albino you will get a bunch of het albinos, some more green than others.

But because the Greens are so well established in the hobby, it might well be het albino already so you might get a surprise or two.

Thanks Westley, I suppose I have to just be patient and see what transpires.

Here in KZN you will not need a Permit yet.
I do believe that other Provinces do need a permit.
How to get a Permit however, I don't know.
