Postby Tyler.Andrew. m » Sat Mar 12, 2016 10:57 pm

Found this little one on my patio...tiles are warm
He is very small....
Can anybody assist with I'd! ?
Kept snakes a a child but this is a wild one....so no clue
Hasn't tried to bite and does not like to be handled so didn't push the issue.

That was my first guess....wanted to make sure.

Considering releasing it back into wild but have lots of mongoose around the property. - found on our farm

How easy is this to keep and how would you get a permit for it?

It is very small, so realistically what is commercially available from the pet shops (live in joburg)to feed it and how succesful is getting them to feed on pinkies.

Tylor Hi.

These are specialists feeders that will only feed on young lizrads and frogs. Its best to release it and let nature take its course.

Or if you really want to keep a snake get yourself a brown house snake and keep it for a while...lovely little snakes. If you have a good supply of frogs then keep the herald for a few weeks just to gain the privilege and experience!!
