Yes today was the day for call outs. I also had my fair share.

What is heartening is that a number of people just wanted them identified and then left where they were found. There is hope for humanity after all.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.

Nice catches Mr. G. In which erea did you find the rock monitor?
I like candlelight dinners, romantic walks on the beach and poking dead things with a stick.

I found it in the kombuis just outside Magaliesburg on a farm and apparently it helped itself to one of their small baby kittens. :D

There seem to be a lot of activity in Magaliesburg. That's it I'm moving there :cool: .

Mole snake distribution is strange, I have never seen one here in Oudtshoorn, there are only two records at deHoop, and Cape Town and surrounds is crawling with them as along other parts of the coast.

They seem common from say Knysna to Still Baai then a gap, and then common again beyond Bredasdorp/Gaansbaai/Hermanus to Cape Town and West Coast.
Is this a feature up north and east?
