I feed mine rats. Just be carefull not to feed to much, they tend to regurge when eating to much. He also enjoy a frog every now and then.

Yes, this I know but currently it is still legal to keep N. nigricollis without a permit, thus it is still consedered an exotic.

Okay I just thought I would warn you, unless you have a very good lawyer and access to recognised herpetologists who will testify for you I would keep a low profile with these snakes.

Werner may be in luck. Here is a paper that provides evidence for Naja nigricincta being a separate species from N. nigricollis (but retains woodi as a ssp. of nigricincta):
