Eggeater eggs

Really nice to see that someone breeds those kind of snakes - I´m really tired of seeing all those WC eggeaters that just dies in a couple of weeks...

My Egg Eaters mated for the first time on 20 Nov. 2007 and I'm hoping for eggs some time in the future. Will keep you posted.

Now I am missing something! I had my egg eater for about two years now. She has grown tremendously during this time and I got a male about a month ago and on 20 November I caught them in the act - mating. Today, 17 days later I saw her on the bottom of one the ferns in her cage and on nearer inspection I saw at least one egg. I don't want to distrub her but I am a bit confused. That egg won't be fertile I suppose. Would she have layed eggs without the male? This is a first try for me and I am still learning.

I just had another look and there's two eggs now. They are much bigger than the BHS eggs that's in the incubator at the moment. It will be a pity if they are not fertile.

She layed 6 eggs and I gave her two finch eggs afterwards. She looks quite exhausted and thin.
