Herping.

Herping.

Postby MrG » Wed Dec 12, 2007 7:56 pm

Myself and Snake 5 went herping this afternoon and in a space of 2 hrs we caught the following. ;) We missed what could have been a black mamba or a huge grass snake but it was as fast as lightning when we picked up a piece of asbestos board and we were both slow to react.

All were release and it was an awsome afternoon. Thanks Westley. ;)

Well done guys.. Thats a very "light" colored night adder! Much lighter than what we find here in Gautengeleng. Are all night adders there this color? or might it be the exposure of the camera?

Regards,

Q!

I have seen much lighter and darker night adders than that before, the monitor was nice but would have loved to get the one that got away. But alas it was fun. The herald snake was awesome and even had red speckling on the bottom jaw which i had never seen on specimens before as well as an awesome bright red lip.
