Don’t think twice to buy the book…just buy it! It’s a very handy field guide with superb photos and illustrations. Busy devouring my copy…

Yeah I noticed that.. and it's been the case since October, when the bloody thing was released. You can order it, but then it takes whatever time it does to be shipped out from Dubai to the States, and then to you.

Try that booksarabia link. They have a good track record.

Got my copy of the book yesterday!

Must say that i'm very impressed, allot of good information and very nice pictures. In all a VERY nice book that fills out it's space in the collection.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the kind words.

It's already in need of some revision, such is the nature of taxonomy and all. This is a good thing though.

There's one more Leptotyphlops to add, and Bill Branch is doing revisions on this genus too, so there may be a few name changes there. Atractaspis from Arabia are most likely not of the microlepidota complex anymore (although Arabian species have not yet been revised) and the viper section will have some changes and additions!!

There are also two distinct saw-scale vipers, one of which is almost certainly not described and the other probably isn't.

The 2nd edition will be a bit thicker for sure and I'll hopefully get a photo of the Manser's black snake, variable racer and aden black-headed snake by then. :)

I just got the book and I'm very impressed. Even if it was published in 2007, it is still very up to date and I encourage everyone to buy it.

The pictures are awesome and the diagramatic illustrations are the best I've seen.

Well done Damien.
