And then they just start dulling again as they get older. Nevertheless a nice jungle you have there. How old is he?

Very nice!!

Morelia, at what age do they start dulling, my female isn't looking as pretty as what she did a year or two ago, but she's still very pretty.

Wow Mittone_79!!! Looking very good!!! If yours is a male, we must start talking about breeding loans, and baby sharing lol.

I have a beautiful female jungle (very Yellow) that would be more than willing!

He is truly a beautiful boy Mittone_79! When will they be sexually mature for breeding?

Thanks everyone, he really is an amazing snake.

They are about 14 months old. So still some time till they start dulling.

How old is your female? Sounds good, I am not sure at what age a male can breed with an older female, Moreliahunter??

I think only at the end of next year, so almost 2 more years.

mittone, The male should be ready by 2 years of age, and a female at 3 years. Obviously it can happen earlier, but these are good ages to look into breeding.

He should be ready by the end of the year, but most people let their snakes start breeding in May.

*I've also got a girl I need covered* :)

I thought I would add a few pics of my CPs on this interesting thread. It is nice to be able to compare the many variations in CPs.
These I was told when I bought them, are Darwin CPs if that makes sense to anyone. They are a pair but look so similar that I am never sure which is the male and which is the female.
The one:

The other:

This is the first boy CP I bought. His white sometimes has a greenish tint to it. Maybe it's just me but I think he is very pretty after he has just shed :)
Image
Image
This is his girl. She is a lot yellower in real life but not as yellow as mittone's one which is a real beaut!
Image
Image
This one has a stripe and is one of a trio I bought last year. They are cheeky little devils. They also have more yellow to them in the flesh than these pics would suggest.

This is one of the others in the trio. She has a lot of yellow in her.

Last but not least is the smallest of the lot - Junior.
He was a bit shy at first

But then decided to play along :)

The three little ones each got mouse for their trouble :D

Wow Boadicea, that is quite a few Carpets you have there.

The 1st pair (Darwin) looks very Irian Jaya (Morelia spilota harrisoni) to me.

How old are they now, are you breeding any time soon?

I took some more pics of my Jungle Carpet pythons on Wednesday.
I can’t say which one of these 2 is my favourite, they are both turning out to be very pretty. The female has much darker yellow than the male.

Nice pythons. I wish somebody would give them all new names so that we do not assume that they are all just colour varieties of the same snake.

On that note, what is the difference between the Coastal and the Jungle? Most of the "Jungles" I've seen look like fairly standard Coastals to me.
Does any one have real literature or a link that may help?

The same is true of those who continue to make the same mistakes.
