Ok, re-read my post and it sounds arrogant, it was not meant to. In the last 2 years we have done over 50 000km of road cruising in 5 African countries looking for snakes, so its not like we are stumbling over these animals in the middle of town, but when they are out, they are as common as house snakes or egg eaters, its just a matter of find the right set of circumstances.
