Caught this guy this morning, tree snake the caller said. :)

Well if it is in a tree then it has to be a tree snake. How come the head is so dirty, did it try to get away.

Which Psammophis is that? Short-snouted, or what?

A layman could be forgiven for mistaking this for a female boomslang. is this Psammophis mossambicus? Looks a decent size.

Probilbly went up the tree to get away from the dogs.
It looked to me like P. brevirostris (short snouted whip snake) and I released it straight afterwards.
It was about 60cm long.
