After about a year of trying, i finally have a large female filesnake. She is a De Brazza's filesnake, M.c.savorgnani

had her for about a week and she is on mice. Now i need a male. Still looking for CB SA files if anyone has some, zap me an email.

File snakes are awesome hey, they occur where i live but very very hard to find, one day ill get one.
MY RETICS ARE ADIMANT THAT PEOPLE TASTE LIKE CHICKEN.

Im Zenafobic... that zena chick from t.v scares the cr@# out of me.

Nope mongoose that is not a black file snake.

Horridus where do they occur and where did you get her from?

Do you think the two subspecies will breed with each other?

File snakes are my favourite of all snakes ..what makes this species especially good looking is the black belly, these ones also get bigger than capensis !

this one is from tanzania and i am heading there in december. They are a subspecies, but i dont think anyone has done that ,much work with them. i think once more attention is focused on them they will be elevated to complete species, just like many other similar snakes. Will keep notes on breeding etc.
