Hi lampie. That would really depend on the snake species and its origin. Generally if the snake is well fed and healthy, for +- a week or 2. Having said that I monitor my snakes water consumption very closely and have found my lubricus to not have taken a drink in 4 weeks. Anyway, just what I have found in my experience.

Just for info, I have read that some okes use automatic water dispensers for snakes, like those one would use for cats and dogs. Sounds interessting.

How do you know they don't sneak a sip when you are not watching?

It's easy with the lubricus...he is on sand and I clear the area around the water bowl. That way I know when he has been there.
