Heating for baby/juvi leo

Hi, I got my first leo gecko. He/she is about 4 months old. My question is; do I need to have the heat pad on for the leo in the summer months in SA. I stay in GAUTENG. At the JHB expo the breeder I got my leo from said it is not necessary to have heat on during summer time. Will my leo be able to digest his/her food and be warm enough without the heat pad. I have a wooden viv.

if you are unsure, get a heatpad and a thermostat to regulate the temperature it will give you peace of mind.

Yup, use thermostat to create a hot spot in the viv. Your gecko will thermoregulate and choose where and at what temp it wants to be.
