Re: Buying leapord gecko from respectable breeder

If you are still not sure on sex then Ide recommend getting a female. Females together are fine and so are male/female, males together can cause problems.

Re: Crested Gecko Questions

Ideally you should lightly mist twice a day ( so every 8 hours or so), the water bowl helps with humidity and if theyre really thirsty but you must mist. You can purchase misting equipment with a timer from a petshop or online. Have a look around online.

Re: Petshops makes me sad!

I don't particularly support any pet shop, I only buy food and accessories,If I want a pet, exotic or not, Ill buy from a breeder who has experience with the animal they are breeding. (Most of the time) I'm from Cpt so we don't have exotic pet shops like Jhb does, but while my partner and I were the...

Re: Panther Chameleons in winter

Those Jhb nights are freezing. I would keep them inside for winter. The warmer days they can spend in the sun perhaps. I do advise some extra heating too :)

Re: Dog bitten

Tazerangel I'm so glad your dog made it and he is a tough guy to have gone through so much but I bet he has an awesome life on a reserve. With regards to the jack russel bite, such a small dog to survive that bite is interesting. I agree with BV and you shouldve taken him to the vet asap.

Re: Ground gecko has lump in neck

Westley, its only on the one side. So he looks lopsided but its white underneath and slightly translucent but that I'de assume is from the skin stretching a little. This is the best pisc I have with me at the moment. Question then is, does this eventually go away and do I continue to feed him no cal...

Ground gecko has lump in neck

Hi All, My ground gecko,Digger, has a large 'squishy' lump on the right of his neck. He has had this for some time and from what I think I know, its possibly a build up of calcium that causes the swelling. So I have stopped feeding him roaches and worms with calcium on, in hope that it will subside....

Re: Question regarding using a feeding bowl

Do you only feed crickets? Try using a deep bowl with some sort of hide so the crickets can 'hide' .Piece of an egg tray could work. Mine eat roaches, I use a clear container with Vaseline on the inner top rim of the bowl, roaches crawl to the top but once they get to the Vaseline they turn around. ...
