Anyway, I recently got back into keeping geckos and I found a nice normal female with random hets and a White and yellow Super Hypo Carrot Tail with a het or two as well. Now, the point of the thread. I bought a big heatpad and put it on the side of ta...

I want him to understand that it will only work if he is willing to make it work and have high standards. S...

Re: I need info on Reptile Breeding

All very useful information, but let me explain this a little better. My friend breeds lovebirds as his main thing. He doesn't like reptiles, but is looking for something else to supplement his existing setup. Basically, he wants to go 50/50 with me. He supplies the money, I supply myself to do the ...

Re: I need info on Reptile Breeding

I agree, which is partly why he wants me to find this stuff out first before he goes into it willy nilly. I just have no idea what info to give him tomorrow other than to start small and that its not easy to use as your main source of income...

Re: Cerambycidae spp

Aww man. I loved these guys when I was in Limpopo. Went outside the one night and found two of them fighting and making a hell of a noise. Awesome little things. I've been trying to get these for ages but we don't have any local species :|

Re: Pretoria Petshop Sold - a little insight

Online Shopping is the future of the pet industry. It's much cheaper than running a petstore and you can do it from home. I can see the day when all breeders start having online shops with Checkouts and they'll courier all their animals across the country. I think petshops are still vital though, as...

Re: Egg - Chicken - turkey – Quail. ALTERNATIVE DIET .

Okay, I'm trying to get him on Chicken Hearts and Necks. He takes but doesn't actually swallow it yet, but he does the whole follow my hand routine and guards it like he does with rodents. If he took normal chicken meat he should take this so will try again when it's warmer. I also cleaned his cage ...

Re: Red-Eyed Crocodile Skink/Tribolonotus gracilis

Contact Animaniacs, they might be able to organise some if you pay up front. Or contact some guys in Europe and handle the importing yourself, you just need to find a Quarantine facility
