Re: Help needed with thermostat wiring

Thanks a lot froot, appreciate the response. The units did come with probes and I assume that should be connected to terminals 10 and 11.

Help needed with thermostat wiring

Hi I'm busy setting up some thermostat controllers for my snakes heating requirements but I'm getting a little stuck on the section for the wiring of the load that the controllers will carry. Here is a pdf of the manual for the controllers that I'm installing: http://www.coolsense.co.za/pshop/attach...

Re: Rare find - Gumtree

I don't get all this nonsense with gumtree. Why don't they just at very least add a comment section on each ad? That way a scammer can be torn a new one by folks in the know. Mates of my wife got themselves taken for 9 grand trying to purchase a puppy. I haven't heard the full story yet, but I know ...

Re: Two photos of my Salmon boa.

For what it's worth those two pictures are not the same. Setting aside questions of colour editing, simply look at the location of the grass to the left (photographers left) of the snakes head, its location in relation to the body of the snake is different in the two pictures.

Re: Grade 5 girl bitten in Sasolburg Free state

Just bear in mind that for them the priority is the little girl. The dad had to get the snake some how as an ID for the doctors to know what they dealing with. For the uninformed when fear takes over it could have been a green mamba and they could have been convinced that the worst was about to befa...

Re: KZN reptile inspection and raids

I don't understand how you can be glad that this is happening? If someone is a known/suspected smuggler, sure yes go for it, but regular keepers/breeders? If I had to have my local natcon guys pitch up without notice, and without asking permission to come over, I would approach my lawyer to see if a...

Re: Puff Adder bite

"It was painful, but not as bad as listening to Justin Bieber," Marais said from his hospital bed in Krugersdorp.

haha. I don't know if that could be true, but it would be a real toss up, choosing between a puffy bite or Bieber.

Re: What reptiles are blacklisted/banned in the EC?

IMO this "list" here in the Eastern Cape is much like a unicorn, or a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We all hear about it but never see it.

Re: Snake in old drain pipes

IF it is a brown house snake then no, but that is if it is. A better description or even photo's (which I can understand you wouldn't have had the time to take) would help us ID the snake for you. Otherwise tell us where you live and one of the members here may be able to point you in the direction ...
