Re: Lights keep breaking?

I am sick of lights... After four days of searching for a screw in light fitting I found one, and I come home to see that both my screw in lights (one is a repti-zoo basking light and one is a yellow 60w bulb) don't work! I am so pi§§ed so I put my male in a tub and bought another heat pad.

Re: Lights keep breaking?

BushViper after using it for two days it has infact warmed up the one side of the cage, I just need to get that screw in light fitting for the other side of the cage for the hot spot.

Hopefully today I can get it.

Re: Lights keep breaking?

Ok so I just got back from the hardware store across the road from me (I did go there earlier but they sold me a broken globe and a glabe that doesn't fit). The Globe that doesn't fit is a screw in bulb, and I only have clip in light fittings, and the store doesn't have screw in light fittings. Does...

Re: Lights keep breaking?

I would get a ceramic heat emitter but I'm worried that it would also break just like all the other lights?

In the day it will be a heat globe and at night a red light for some night time heat.

I have put them in tubs but they just don't seem to like the idea.

Re: Transport permits

Yup Cape Nature does take some time, a friend of mine waited a few months for import permits for Ball Pythons.

Re: Lights keep breaking?

Yeah its one large heating pad on the one side, and the light on the other side. Now with out the light the cage is freezing and so is my room, so today ill have to get that light fitting asap or atleast take them outside to soak up some sun.

We don't have heaters in the house, unfortunatly.

Re: Transport permits

To get a snake from the Western cape to Gauteng would require a import and export permit. Export from the seller and import from you, but if it's an exotic I think only the seller must get an export permit to send the snake to Gauteng. If it's indigenous then an export, import, and keepers permit wi...

Re: Lights keep breaking?

There were no burn marks by the base, but on the inside the thin piece of wire connected to the 3 poles looked like it was snapped. This was was a clip in and not a screw in bulb. Mitton I don't think it was the Boas that caused it because they are in the blue and just sit in the humidity box the en...

Lights keep breaking?

Hi everyone Well after setting up my Boa constrictors cage nicely, I put a light in for some extra warmth because I noticed that the temperatures keep going too low. For the past week everything was going well, and now today all of a sudden the light has stopped working? It happened with the other c...
