Re: Bradypodion transvaalense - Transvaal Dwarf Chameleon.

Hey Mitton, of those Bradypodion nemorale and Bradypodion ngomense would be the toughest. They occur in small patches of dense forest in Northern KZN. The area's are not the safest either and there's very little information on them. Should have a big one off the list done by August if the odds are i...

Re: 5000km ROAD TRIP, KAROO and EASTERN CAPE - SOUTH AFRICA

Thanks Eugene! Bummer the posts seemed to be clipping on this forum but elsewhere they display fine.

We saw loads of striped mice on the roadside but that was much bigger meal than that. So i guess we will never know?

jka wrote:How do you sex chameleons?

They're sexually dimorphic, the males are much brighter in colour and usually much smaller. There is also a pronounced bulge in the tail on males.

Bradypodion sp. "Emerald" Dwarf Chameleon

One of the Bradypodion I've been missing off my list for a long time, strangely enough only a 2 and a half hour drive from my house! Thankfully managed to kick this one off eventually. Interestingly many of individuals I found where during the day which is most unusual for field herping in the provi...
