Crested gecko

Crested gecko

Postby LizardLover » Fri Mar 29, 2013 1:56 pm

I recently secured a crested gecko from Bjorn and I wanted to know, when it's older, what would be the best plant to use that cleans the air and prevents mold the most and will not be toxic to the gecko nor have any other toxic chemicals on it or anything related that could injure the gecko. I will have a UV light on 12 hours a day so live plants is not a problem. The gecko needs misting to keep the humidity high so i shall water the plant. Is there by any chance a plan that converts the feces of the animal into clean air or some sort? Thank you for reading.

I never have had mold in one of my Vivariums, and all mY setups are natural.

You can use a lot of different plants.
The easiest are Epipremnum aureum, Philondendron scandens and Ficus benjamini.

Also you can use musa spec. but there a lot more plants.

I hope you know, that the humidity cresties need is not thaat high. 60-80% are perfect, so it will be ok to lait in rains in the early Morning and/ore the evening.
Hope you understand my english.

There is not any mold... I never said there is... I just asked what plant could prevent it. When it is older I shall use a different substrate.
