Finally after 146 days my eggs started to pip, i will update with more pics and the hatchlings info tomorrow

Are they difficult to breed then B.V?

Boogy they are difficult to just keep alive. Once you know how and have captive bred animals it is a lot easier. 10 years ago very few even survived in captivity. They are stunning animals and are more like squirrels than leguaans. Active, climbing, jumping, swimming jewels.

I saw some captive bred ones in the US and they were close to $1000 each as sub adults. I could only find males at that time.

Looks like a Bosc monitor, just the coloring is different.

What makes it so difficult to keep them in captivity?

Now that is an achievement. I se o.d what BV has said. They are one of the harder species to keep alive, let alone breed. Some forum members really have to research a topic before they post. Its nothing like a bosc monitor.
