Gravid Or Proper Ovulation

Gravid Or Proper Ovulation

Postby rolandslf » Tue Sep 18, 2018 12:47 pm

A bit of an explanation and build up to the question.

During June/July 2018 my female Dumeril never ate for about 5/6 weeks.

On 23rd July 2018, I saw what I presumed to be an ovulation, taking in the amount of time since last meal.

On 16 September 2018, I noticed how huge she is, and that she is going into the blue.
The huge bulge however is positioned where I would expect to see an ovulation taking place.

Let's look at a few factors which may help in the Esteemed Members of the Forum making a decision.

From what I thought was her ovulation till seeing this hugeness +- 56 days.
From Presumed ovulation, 56 days and going into the blue.
In the last 100 days or so, she has only had two meals, each being a Jumbo Rat.
Her tail has dramatically thickened.
Presuming 100 to 120 days from shedding to giving birth, we are on track for babies mid January 2019, or there abouts.

Now for your input.

What do you think - Ovulation or Gravid?

She looks really good. I would say gravid not ovulation from what you were saying.

Let us know how it goes.

I am going to try and post a pic taken about 3 weeks ago.
Photobucket however, seems to have become problematic lately.
Is there another method that I can use to post pics.
Photobucket want me to pay.
