Thanks to armata

Alright, a while ago i was reading through some observations by armata (although he posts a new one every few days!) and today I decided to go out and take the binoculars with!

So grabbed the binoculars and the land rover keys.

I went up on to our farm to one of the water pans where I found a Helmeted Terrapin Pelomedusa subrufa.

Next up went right to the top of the farm, where i was walking to a batch of tree and on the way I found a Leopard tortoise Stigmochelys pardalis. I followed it from a good distance and was observing it eat the dry grass that has been damped due to the rain.

While looking at it, i looked down to my feet and there was a Kalahari Tent tortoise Psammobates oculiferus. What was very interesting was that it's front right leg was half missing! Probabley due to predators or something of that sorts.

Both the Leopard tortoise and the Tent tortoise were about 10m apart.

Here are some pics to follow of the three legged tortoise.

And just a habitat shot.
