Went fishing over the weekend with a mate of mine. Barely five minutes after I told him that the Spotted Bush Snake (Philothamnus semivariegatus) used to literally fall on us out of the trees as youngsters, this fellah decided to swim out in front of us!
Was about 1m in length
Photos don't show it, but it had the most intense blues that I had seen in a long time on these guys
Initially it swam right at me on the river bank, only when it turned its head a lot did it see me and change direction. Couldn't figure out why it was so "tame" until I noticed it was blind in the one eye. Cornea was totally misshapen.
Well, I had to get it out somehow... And the water was REALLY cold still, so don't chirp the sissy dance arm!
