Call out

Call out

Postby Chameleon Company » Sun Jul 22, 2012 5:55 pm

Good day all.

Received a call out yesterday in Vanderbijl Park (Gauteng South) for a '1m, very aggressive king cobra'.

I quickly packed my stuff and went over to the guys house, where the snake was in the garage.

Turned out to be a 50cm Rinkhals and the guy said 'yes thats it'! I decided to search around more between all the paint tins and pulled out another beautiful 1m Rinkhals...........

The guy completely flipped when he realised there was a bigger snake tham he first though........

The hot water pipe lies against the wall and heats the wall up everytime someone takes a shower etc. so granted the snakes seem to enjoy it there.

Both Rinkhals were later released in a massive undisturbed veld.

I have no idea who called me so my number is 083 492 6315 if anyone has a problem snake in the Vaal Triangle Area.

I am very ammused by these people who see massive king cobras, green mambas and rattlesnakes in Gauteng.

I would have loved to see the guy's face when you pulled the two metre king cobra out of there, seeing that the first king cobra was one metre long.

I can just imagine what a fun call out this was.

hahaha yeah if its dark in colour, the usual response is black mamba or king cobra......

Yeah was a pretty funny call out, plus the massive stash of porn magazines the guy had in a box hahahahahahahahahahah!

Been doing call outs for SPCA,MTN,Outsurance, cops etc for 14 years the amount of "king cobras" spotted is amazing.95% of all call outs i had in gauteng were for rinkhals,4% brown house,1% mixed. Not only do people get the snake wrong but the second they see it adrenalin starts pumping and colour perseption goes out the window."it was black with yellow stripes and orange spots"=grey rinkhals.
