Catch and Release

Catch and Release

Postby Chameleon Company » Thu Aug 15, 2013 1:54 pm

Good day all.

This beast of a BHS was a call out on a catch and release earlier this year on a construction site.
In total 4 BHS's were caught and all have been released roughly 2km away in an undisturbed veld that joins a botanical garden, West Rand, JHB.

And yes they are all on permit.

For a Gauteng specimen that has to rate as the biggest I have ever seen.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.

I think there are a few guys that service Hartebeespoort.

Alternatively call your Nature Conservation authority and ask them if they could issue you a permit. Are you a member of a herpetological association?
