First two finds of the season

First two finds of the season

Postby Ruan Stander » Tue Sep 15, 2015 3:06 pm

I spent the weekend in the Soutpansberg on a family camp, and despite the very cold and rainy weather I decided to try my luck. I spent a total of six hours in the field and only managed to find four species of lizard.

Species found (all in hiding):

-Smaug (warreni?) depressus x3
-Pachydactylus vansoni x1
-Lygodactylus occelatus soutpansbergensis x1
-Trachylepis varia x1

I apologise for the poor quality, the photos were taken with my ancient Nokia, and when resized they look even worse.

Even bad photos are great to see this time of year.
It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.

Those who are afraid to ask are ashamed of learning.
