Bitis Caudalis, Musina 2017

Hey dudes !! I went looking for some Bitis caudalis this week in Musina just for fun, I tracked the live specimens after release for a few days , they chose to shelter in grass and shrubs and I measured them at 38'c in the shade. Pics of snakes and habitat below..

Great stuff. Pity about the DOR, but the habitat looks amazing and it's great to see the snakes active like that between the tussocks.

Very different to the habitat I am used to seeing caudalis in.

How can that be Mitton ? You have to see !! One of them is pinstripe anery with 5 horns.
