To Hybrid or not to Hybrid.... That is the question!!!!

Interspecies breeding and 2 headed snakes are the type of thing that would be discussed here. We are aware that these are controversial issues and some people feel strongly about their opinions on them. Please respect each other's views and keep discussions amicable.

I don't know about a SNOW corn, but placing a normal corn with leusistic texas ratsnake will give you a pearl corn..... I think.....

I don't think the nature of the hybrid will come into question. The divide is between those that agree with the practice as a whole and those that don't.

Whether you want to produce hybrids or not is totally up to you.

But leucism is definitely one of the least wanted morphs in the hybrid "industry" as no matter what funny morphs you cross, you'll end up with a pure white snake with either blue eyes or pink eyes.

I'm not against hybrids, but this particular crossing I would NOT attempt as the results won't be visually special.

I agree with Wes here, the object of Hybrids is to create something un usual and visually WOW.
To cross two white snakes together, you will end up with just that a white snake - BORING.

Now, if you were to create something like Don Soderbergs Palmetto Corn - Which is not a Hybrid by the way - then go for it.

Thanks for the option and feedback Roland.... I agree. but I have some options with regard to making something other than just white.... Just not too keen into making a hybrid.... but was testing the waters .... Maybe some people would have liked to see something like that but seems the market is not great fro Hybrids in any case.... Other than the more common creamsicle and so forth???

Anyways... Thanks again....

GOM - Hybrids are only really now coming out of the closet here in SA. There are a number of us that actively pursue the art of Hybridisation.
In years to come, just as in the USA, UK etc., Hybrids will become more prevalent.
The big danger is that dishonest people can and will portray there Hybrid stock as being Pure where they can for the sake of a quick buck.

I am definitely all for the Hybrid Projects and ask that all who enjoy this practice just keep it honest, simply because the practice is then more easily accepted.

Currently overseas, there are a lot of Hybrid Colubrids that fetch higher prices than a lot of Pure bred Colubrids, this is because integrity has been maintained.
