But I have lost 6 eggs so far in the last couple of days?!?!?

The temps are good 29c, the humidity varies between 80 and 90%, the snake eggs are doing fine in the same incubator, in a separate tub off course.

I cur open the eggs and I found fully formed little lizards inside, all dead!

What is going on????????????

I am loosing it!
Please any info could help!

Should I cut open the remaining eggs or not?
Are the eggs maybe to hard for them to cut open? the embryo (I think, the yellow piece connected the umbilical cord) is hard in all the ones I cut open?

Does this mean the yolk went hard and the babies died because of it?

Please anyone, if there is anything I can do please let me know.

If the eggs turned a little hard I would turn the temp a little down, It is summer so it is possible that the outside temperatures is penatrating your incubator.

I took the one that looked like it was going bad, like the others and decided to cut it open, alas, a dead lizard :( another one, but I then left it for a few minutes and the "yolk"?! turned green within minutes, and that was when I realized that where the umbilical cord fused with the lizard it also turned green.

And the lizard dries out fast.
The babies are as big as a small BIC lighter.

Again, I ask please help anyone.

Urucone, what temp do you suggest, it is currently sitting at 29.2C?
And thanks for the reply.

Ive had similar with Pachydactylus eggs.
I suspect your temps are too high. I would recommend as urucone said 28 even at a constant 27 they should hatch.

Thanks guys, I dropped it down to 27.7c the last reading this morning, my snake room is around that temp normally and quite hidden from outside temps.
I also switched of the fan in the room, to keep the humidity in the room up.

Is this ok?

Just try to keep the temps in th 27 to 28 range through out the day, I've allot of eggs going to waste due to outside temperatures, how you do it is up to you .

Only 2 left, I am so bummed, I have no actually removed the eggs from the incubator, and are not rapped in a towel in my reptile room, average temps in the room is 26c at any given time humidity is around 50%, I placed a heating pad vertical against the towel, just for a little extra warmth.

I need to get an extra thermometer.

I think you "cooked" the eggs. They cannot be "uncooked" by making them cooler. Sorry.
