Bill Haast - truly a legend, to be laid to rest...
He celebrated his 100th birthday last Dec., but passed on Wed night. RIP

Yeah there is nobody that could fill his shoes. RIP.

When you milk snakes as a job don't you get good at it? How did he still end up being bitten 172 times?!

Imagine he had been bitten 344 times and he would have lived to the age of 200 years.

Wow, that is incredible. I went to the Miami Serpetarium in 1980 with my family and watched him in action milking several snakes including a huge King Cobra on the lawn in front of the main 'arena' exactly like the first photo of him in that link was exactly what he did. It was very impressive and he was really interesting to listen to and watch. Makes me feel quite old thinking of him as 100 years old. What an amazing life.
