Common colubrid permits to go away?

Postby Herald_23 » Wed Jul 31, 2013 4:12 pm

There have been hints and rumours of permits for common colubrid snake pets (i.e corn snakes, rat snakes, king snakes etc) to be done away with and no longer compulsory in the cape provinces. Can anyone offer additional info?

Thanks

This is still very unlikely and if ever implemented would be province specific and would not apply to all the previous Cape Provinces.

TonyK, I’m in the Eastern Cape, so thankfully Cape Nature doesn’t apply, and as I said it is highly unlikely at the moment that any permits would be done away with. These are simply rumours at best.
