Future adventure herpers

Postby MrG » Sun Sep 07, 2008 10:53 pm

Every year on my sons birthday I try to do something special. We have this adventure group thats part of his friends and last year we went to an old mine and on a night walk we found a Herald and some scorpions etc.

This year the adventure started with some rappelling down a cave and then we went to Magalies to overnight in tents. On the nightwalk we found a Brown house snake, some spiders and to the boys surprise the only girl in the team found a beautifull Night adder. These kids have their own snake books and every find were discussed in great detail. The snakes were released where they were found and I am so proud of them !!

drummer, from the way you look in your avatar you look a bit young still, so still a while I would guess.

Thanks mittone.

You should'nt wait drummer. You could easily get a group together and share your knowledge.
Just asking questions afterwards made me realise that kids are hungry for knowledge and that some of them staying in towns and cities are a lot more disadvantaged than we know.

Dirty little buggers!
I remember my Cub and Scout days!
The dirtier you got the more fun you had!
Nice to see a Father teaching his son (and friends) about real life.
Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon just doesn't cut it!

Awesome!

Beware, those kids will end up like...us :D. Father & son hobbies are the best time killer ever!

This is really good to see, kids getting out and about and downright mucky and learning at the same time. Good stuff Mr G.
