Ottoman Viper Breeding

Postby Pythonodipsas » Wed Jan 28, 2015 11:20 am

I am happy to announce that my Ottoman's Vipers (Montivipera xanthina) bred for me for the second time. They mated on 16th October 2014 and babies were born on 23 January 2015 (99 days gestation)

This season they produced 14 babies (unsexed). Last season they produced 10 babies (5.5)

They come from a top bloodline of a colorful population occurring in southern Turkey.

First pics of the adults, then the new babies.... of then last seasons 2013 yearlings

You are going to town this year man ! ;)

Very, very nice- these are one of my three favourite Eurovipers, lovely to see them being produced locally.

Congratulations:)

That is great. Do you think the new cages helped. That along with the fridge seem to be exactly what they needed. Well done.

Again fantastic result. Beautiful coloured adults.

Hello jd7?

Yes these are venomous, that's why they are posted in the 'Exotic highly venomous snakes' forum. :)

And yes I am selling offspring. The advert is in the classifieds.
