THEY FINALLY HATCHED!!!Stoked!

Yellow Belly Dragons (Hypersaurus ferdoensis)

These incredible dragons are from a tiny island located
South of the Keyakani islands in the Granolic ocean.
Little is known about them, but their
neurotoxic venom is so potent that it leaves explorers in a euphoric
state. The local tribes often use this venom in their hunting rituals.

yellow belly dragons grow up to around 6foot and hatchlings are around
10inches. Small clutches of up to 8 eggs are laid in late summer and the eggs
takes around 150 days to hatch.Hatchlings are redish/purple in colour with a yellow
belly and pair of yellow sailfins on the head. The tail has a stinger where the venom
gets delivered from. Venom glands are absent in the mouth.
Adults are grey in cooler months, but brighten up before breeding season,
with an aray of spectacular colours that changes to suit the mood of the individual.
Their vibrant colours range from hues of green/blue, orange/blacks
to fiery shades of reds and yellows (including everything
in between).

Although they have poorly developed wings, only babies can fly
for short periods of time (similar to a chicken). The adults will remain grounded
once their body gets too heavy.
They feed on birds, bird eggs, mice, rats and other bigger rodents wich are killed
by a single sting from the tail.

They are excellent climbers and swimmers and spend summer days basking on tree-tops.
These animals are respected by the local tribes. The king has made arangements with
the Keyakanian goverment that only one pair will be traded every 5 years to support
the demanding pet trade.
